What would you do in this role?

The Everymom Social Media Editor will be responsible for creating and scheduling social media content across all of The Everymom brand’s social profiles. The Editor will craft a cohesive brand experience across all platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, as well as emerging platforms. The Social Media Editor is instrumental in translating the brand’s lifestyle content, current events, and other stories from our sites to social media audiences, growing our audience and driving traffic to the sites.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the scheduling and organizing of multiple cross-functional social media content calendars and scheduling tools while determining the optimal time and strategy for posting for all of The Everygirl’s social media channels brands including Instagram, Instagram Stories, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, new and emerging platforms
  • Work collaboratively with social media team, editors, and graphic designers to ideate and create high-performing content across all platforms as it aligns to the overall social media marketing strategy while providing expert suggestions
  • Manage team assignments to provide timely feedback and meet deadlines
  • Review, proofread, and edit completed work before posting
  • Assist Senior Social Media Manager in developing new innovative ideas for all social channels to grow reach, traffic and engagement
  • Stay up to date on key industry trends, competitive insights, emerging social media, marketing, and e-commerce technologies
  • Track analytics across platforms, including engagement and traffic to the sites
  • Set creative direction for social media content across all platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and new relevant platforms
  • Prioritize video content creation and quickly ideate, shoot, and edit short-form videos
  • Create eye-catching graphics using templates in Canva

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, media, or a related field, or a demonstration of equivalent expertise through relevant work experience for positions in these fields.

What would you do in this role?

As an Associate Commerce Editor, you will work closely with The Everygirl Editorial team and be responsible for conceptualizing and creating content spanning all shopping categories (beauty, home, travel, wellness, fitness, tech, and so forth) with a primary focus on articles written to generate revenue from sales of products featured in the articles.

This role will include writing, editing, and occasionally filming for social media to help promote commerce content. In addition to creating content, this role will also analyze traffic and sale data to form recommendations for continuous improvement of commerce content and to pull out user shopping trends.

Examples of Content:

The ideal candidate will possess a mix of editorial (a compelling writing voice with an understanding of the Everygirl aesthetic) and analytical skills (an eye for detail and analyzing data).

Responsibilities

  • Pitch, write, edit, and publish 3-4 new commerce stories per week on The Everygirl.
  • Regularly update existing content based on out-of-stock items and revenue performance.
  • Manage evergreen commerce content, identifying items that require updates or are out of stock
  • Actively engage in editorial meetings and offer innovative ideas for the development of new commerce content.
  • Work closely with the editorial team to create seasonal content packages
  • Leverage these insights to shape our content strategy and sustain a competitive advantage
  • Work closely with the Editor-in-Chief to establish affiliate revenue targets for designated categories.
  • Monitor and analyze performance on affiliate marketing platforms like Skimlinks and Rewardstyle.
  • Communicate findings to adjust programming strategy and content updates.
  • Collaborate with social media, newsletter, and editorial teams to effectively promote commerce content.
  • Ensure seamless integration of commerce content across various channels.
  • Regularly monitor and report on commerce metrics, including weekly meetings, monthly updates, and yearly recaps.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with commerce goals.

As an Editorial Assistant, you will provide vital support to the editorial team, contributing to content creation across diverse topics including fashion, beauty, wellness, lifestyle, culture, career, and finance. Collaborating closely with the managing editor and the entire editorial team, the Editorial Assistant undertakes various responsibilities such as writing and revising stories, assisting in content compilation, and contributing to images and graphics as required.

Must be available 30 hours per week during The Everygirl Media Group’s core business hours, 9:30am-3:30pm CST.

Responsibilities

  • Review and edit articles, or other content for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style to ensure it meets the company’s editorial guidelines and maintains high-quality standards.

About the position

Are you a creative, internet-savvy individual with your pulse on everything trending? Do you spend your mornings catching up on the latest content from your favorite media outlets? Are you able to turn around a well-written, witty, and engaging piece of content under tight deadlines? We’re looking for an eager, knowledgeable intern who can help create content for our audiences at The Everygirl Media Group.

What would you do in this role?

This position will help The Everymom team create content across various topics, including but not limited to: fashion, beauty, wellness, living, culture, parenting, and career and finance. You’ll work directly with our managing editor throughout the entire content creation process. Responsibilities will include writing and updating stories, helping editors put their content together, and working with images and graphics. You will also have the opportunity to pitch and contribute your own story ideas.

This is a paid internship ideal for someone looking to gain experience in media and journalism. Must be available 20 hours per week during The Everygirl Media Group’s core business hours, 9:30am-3:30pm CST.
