As a lifelong pop culture enthusiast with a background in Communications, Lex remains attuned to the ever-changing landscape of social media and its impact on shaping and reflecting culture. Her endless pursuit of better understanding and truly connecting with different audiences drove her to develop experience across various domains including Marketing, Advertising, Content Creation, and Social Media Strategy.

With a degree in Communications and Advertising, Lex got her start in Media, PR, and Student Journalism within her university’s Communications department before freelancing for small businesses across Portland—offering everything from Social Media Strategy to Art Direction and Design. Along the way, she discovered a passion for Copywriting that would land her a spot at an award-winning ad agency where she tailored messages and strategies for a range of national brands across social, digital, and broadcast campaigns. Throughout her professional journey, she’s honed her ability to identify and leverage trends to create engaging content that feels authentic to each brand and audience. Now, she’s thrilled to utilize and expand her skills and experience as Social Media Editor for The Everymom—and help reach and empower women with the same kind of supportive and inspiring content that The Everygirl Media Group has offered her since the start of her career.

Lex is a creative—day and night. Outside of work, you’ll find her making music, whipping up handmade greeting cards, or trying to recreate Pinterest tablescapes for cozy dinner parties.
