Madeline is a writer and editor covering fashion at The Everygirl since 2018. She edits all fashion content, writes in-depth trend reports, and curates the direction of the fashion section. She’s worked with top brands like Nordstrom, & Other Stories, Sézane, and Everlane.
Madeline has always had two great loves, fashion and writing, so when it came to deciding on a career, she always knew she wanted to marry them together and go into fashion journalism. From scouring slideshows of photos from Fashion Week runways to diving into every fashion magazine under the sun each month, she always has closely followed trends, which naturally fell into reporting on them at The Everygirl.
She utilizes her previous photoshoot experience to produce seasonal fashion photoshoots at The Everygirl, which she oversees from start to finish. You might be familiar with her capsule wardrobe articles, styling-focused pieces, and trend reports that pop up on our site and Instagram.
After spending time in New York City as a fashion intern at Cosmopolitan, Madeline joined The Everygirl as an Editorial Intern in summer 2018. Since then, she’s created an editorial style guide, which the entire company now follows for all content; broadened The Everygirl’s fashion content to include more versatility and trends; and has utilized her knack for styling to bring styling tips and foresight to The Everygirl’s site.
Now, Maddie oversees all of the fashion content on The Everygirl, from pitching to the time of publishing. She is always looking out for new trends, pieces, and important pop culture moments to be featured on The Everygirl’s site.
If Madeline isn’t working, you can probably find her running down Chicago’s lakefront path or reading (or watching!) a psychological thriller, as our resident lover of all-things scary. She also has a 16-year-old dog, Max, who she’s perhaps a little too obsessed with. If you want to get into a heated debate with her, try to tell her that The Silence of the Lambs isn’t the best movie ever made.
She’s the seasoned mom, the new mom, the expecting mom. She’s trying to become a mom. Fierce, smart, always multi-tasking.
She is passionate about life, her family, and her own self-care. She wants to learn new things and seeks advice on everything from vacation planning to sleep training to prioritizing time for herself. She’s the working mom, the stay-at-home mom.
