If you’re feeling like American Girl is back in the cultural zeitgeist in a big way lately, you’re not wrong. Last fall, the millennial-beloved brand announced they were (finally) launching adult Halloween costumes of their iconic historical dolls. And now, mom-favorite kids brand Posh Peanut is dropping a collab line with American Girl—and as The Everymom’s resident AG writer, I couldn’t be more excited about this new collection.

In early January, the official @poshpeanut and @americangirlbrand Instagram accounts shared an in-feed collab post announcing the new line. “Introducing, for the first time ever, the @AmericanGirlBrand x @PoshPeanut collection! This exclusive collaboration brings to life the beloved stories and characters you love, with history in every stitch,” the post shared. “The American Girl® x Posh Peanut® collection launches on 1/16 at 8 a.m. PT!”

Not surprisingly—at least for a die-hard millennial like myself—the announcement garnered tons of positive messages from commenters. “Y’all better make these an adult sizes!!!! 😂🫶🏽❤️ What the heck!? I need them!” @blairimani wrote. “My goodness, this collab is perfection! 👏👏 I love sharing my love for @americangirlbrand with my daughter! 💕🎀🫶,” @courtneyopalkoetiquette commented.

if you’re just as excited about this Posh Peanut x American Girl collab, we’re breaking down everything you need to know about this new collection below. Plus, shop my favorite pieces from the line!

When does the Post Peanut x American Girl collection come out?

This new collab collection will be available for purchase on Posh Peanut’s website on Thursday, January 16 starting at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET.

What sizes does the Posh Peanut x American Girl collection come in?

If you’re an AG-loving millennial mom hoping this collection comes in adult sizes, you’re in luck! According to the Posh Peanut website, the line will be available in adult sizes XS (00) through 3XL (20-22). Kids pieces will be available for purchase in sizes 3-6 months up to 10Y-12Y depending on the item.

What does the Posh Peanut x American Girl collection include?

This new collection—which ranges in price from $14 to $195—includes tons of adorable items like PJs, T-shirts, dresses, and AG letterman jackets for both moms and kids, plus tableware, blankets, and accessories. The best part? There are plenty of mommy-and-me matching opportunities!

On Posh Peanut’s website, you can shop the collab by historical doll, with pieces available for fans of Samantha Parkington (from 1904), Kirsten Larson (from 1854), Molly McIntire (from 1944), Josefina Montoya (from 1824), and Addy Walker (from 1864). While some items feature cute drawings of each doll, most are a subtle nod to the character with their classic outfits’ colors and patterns (think Samantha’s burgundy and gray checkered print and Kirsten’s prairie-style floral motif).

Each of the aforementioned doll collections include the following items for purchase:

  • Baby/Toddler Convertible One Piece
  • Baby/Toddler Tulle Bodysuit Dress
  • Baby/Toddler Twirl Skirt Bodysuit Dress

There’s additionally an “American Girls” pink pattern collection that spotlights the sweet drawings of a Samantha, Molly, Addy, Kirsten, and Josefina—plus a few additional fan-favorite dolls, Felicity Merriman (from 1774), Kit Kittredge (from 1934), and Kaya (from 1764). This collection includes some extra items like a crib sheet, hooded towel, swaddle headband set, backpack and lunch bag, kids cups, three-piece kids dinnerware set, placemats, women’s and girls ruffled aprons, a tote bag, duffel bag, toiletry bag, and travel cubes.
