Coming into motherhood for the first time is earth-shattering in equally beautiful and nerve-wracking ways. Like most expectant moms, I spent my pregnancy researching all things baby-related to help this new transition go as smoothly as possible. When deciding on the right feeding path for me and my baby girl, I knew I would incorporate formula. Thankfully, the biggest benefit to working on a team of experienced moms who produce helpful parenting content is that making big choices like this feels much more manageable. I needed a formula that was made with trustworthy ingredients at an affordable price point, and through our baby registry content, I discovered one that fits the bill exactly—Baby’s Only Organic Formula.

I stocked up on a few cans of Baby’s Only Organic Formula before my baby’s arrival, and I’m so glad I had the foresight to do so because we started using it right after we got home from the hospital. Using formula has been a game changer for me and my mental health postpartum. It was important to me that I was able to get help postpartum and start to feel like myself again, and being able to share the load when it came to feeding has been a lifesaver. Now that it’s been several months of exclusively using Baby’s Only Organic Formula to feed my daughter, I can share my honest review:

Quality ingredients that give me peace of mind

I’ve felt confident about Baby’s Only since the very beginning because it was recommended by other parents (it’s actually in The Everymom’s Registry Awards!) as well as our daughter’s pediatrician. Most first-time parents know how good it feels to get validation from your child’s pediatrician about your parenting decisions, and ours is a big fan of Baby’s Only. She gave it high praise for being modeled after breastmilk, USDA Organic Certified, and backed by clinical data.

Baby’s Only Organic Formula is made in small batches at their Ohio facility (the first formula manufacturing facility to be built in the U.S. in 40 years, actually!). It doesn’t have corn syrup, artificial dyes, growth hormones, or palm oil and instead contains a variety of vitamins and minerals like iron, folic acid, choline, and way more of the good stuff babies need. Everything included in their organic formula is specially and thoughtfully designed to support her throughout her first year and gives me total peace of mind.

Easy to digest—even for sensitive tummies

Since the first day she started drinking Baby’s Only Organic Formula, our daughter has been a mostly happy eater. It’s something I was worried about during pregnancy because I’ve been lactose intolerant my entire life. Even when she started struggling with reflux at 5 weeks old, our pediatrician was confident that Baby’s Only wasn’t contributing to the issue. Despite the sudden reflux, she was digesting the formula well and steadily continued on her growth curve. We’ve since found the combination of solutions to keep her reflux under control (medication, the right bottle/nipple, keeping her upright, etc.), and now she’s a happy eater again.

Something else to note is that she’s been a pretty amazing sleeper since the very beginning. At 8 weeks old, she’s sleeping seven to eight-hour stretches at night (I’m enjoying every moment while I can!). Not that I credit that solely to formula use, but I do believe her being full, satisfied, and happy positively contributes to her longer stretches of sleep.

Accessible and affordable for most parents

One of the biggest pros of Baby’s Only is its affordability. While I genuinely enjoy the flexibility of formula feeding, it can be costly. Unfortunately, using a high-quality formula with organic ingredients can be even more expensive. It’s rare to find an organic formula that can accomplish both, but Baby’s Only goes above and beyond. A 21-ounce can of Baby’s Only Organic Formula costs $30.49—$5 to $10 less than other organic formula brands. Additionally, they offer a subscribe and save option on their website that gives you 15 percent off each monthly delivery—which also ensures you avoid last-minute trips to the store when you run low.

If subscriptions aren’t your thing, then a huge plus is that Baby’s Only is reliably available online and in-store at several major retailers like Amazon, Target, Walmart, CVS, and more. We love this about Baby’s Only (as does our pediatrician). When other organic formulas on the market were hard to find, Baby’s Only was always in stock. This made us more confident to use Baby’s Only as our only formula from the start since we could restock anytime and avoid the need to switch brands while she was so young. Baby’s Only accessibility is a standard that all formula brands should strive for.
