I Filled My Cart With This Collection I Love From Target—Here’s What I Got

Target is my personal mom paradise. I know running errands shouldn’t be counted as self-care or special me-time, but casually browsing the aisles of Target truly does bring me joy. Plus, it’s often a very productive visit since I can knock so many things off my to-buy list in one swoop.

Over the past year, one of the normal activities I really missed were those casual shopping trips. I made do with the online version, which also is quite enjoyable. However, there’s still some special magic in walking down the aisles and seeing the items on your list (and surprise items you hadn’t previously considered but suddenly must have) in person.

I recently did a major haul at Target and got everything on my list, plus a few of those extra items. One of my main goals was to restock my collection of Burt’s Bees Baby products, a personal favorite when it comes to products for myself and for my toddler. Plus, with a baby on the way, I also stocked up on pregnancy and baby-friendly items that I know we’ll need in the coming months. While doing my shopping I got to check out the new look of Burt’s Bees products, which I love and will make for a cute display in our bathrooms. As Burt’s Bees rolls out their new packaging, you might still find some items with the original look in Target stores—but no matter what version you buy, you’ll still be getting the same great product!

While I might not be the greenest and cleanest mother on the earth, I do really care about what products I use for myself and for my daughter. This is even more important to me during pregnancy as I know the products I slather on my own skin can impact more than just me. I like to have go-to brands that I feel good about using and don’t have to worry about irritating or harmful ingredients for myself or my daughter. Burt’s Bees Baby is one of those brands for me and I can depend on products to be gentle and effective. Plus I find the prices to be incredibly reasonable. And of course the products are found at Target, which makes them easy to grab.

Here’s what I added to my cart during my most recent trip to Target.

1. Burt’s Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter

I discovered this product during the fourth trimester with my first baby and have loved it ever since. Now deep into my second pregnancy, I use this belly butter on a daily basis, both when I wake up and before going to bed.

I personally experience extremely tight, itchy, and uncomfortable skin as my belly expands during pregnancy and this thick cream offers much-needed relief. I like that the butter is clean and my skin feels noticeably more hydrated and less itchy after every application. I’ll be using this product all nine months, plus during the postpartum time when my skin is still recovering from everything it’s been through.

2. Burt’s Bees Baby Multipurpose Ointment

I’m a sucker for anything “multipurpose”  because I always want to maximize my products and the money I spend. And this product lives up to its name. You can use the ointment for diaper rashes, dry skin, and dry lips. While it’s for babies, I also use it myself. This is a great diaper-bag essential since it plays so many roles, including as a treatment for dry, itchy hands due to excessive hand washing and hand sanitizer usage.

3. Burt’s Bees Baby Shampoo & Wash

My daughter loves splashing around in the bath, but she turns into a puddle of tears when it’s time to get her head wet to wash her hair. To make bath time as pleasant an experience as possible, I go for this tear-free formula that doubles as both shampoo and soap for her skin.

It’s a non-irritating formula and has worked well for my toddler. With another baby on the way, I plan to use this wash for both kids. Again, knowing it’s a natural and gentle formula gives me peace of mind when it comes to those initial newborn baths.

4. Burt’s Bees Baby and Mom Gift Set

And finally, while stocking up for myself and my kids, I also grabbed a gift set for a fellow mom-to-be. It can be confusing as a new mom to figure out what products you want to use for your kids, so I always like to lend advice (when it’s wanted!) and share the products that we love and depend on.

This cute little gift set includes the Shampoo & Wash and Nourishing Lotion (good for baby and mom!) and is a good size for new moms to try out. It also comes with a lip balm, which I always tell my pregnant friends to make sure to pack in their hospital bag to combat the dry hospital air.
