Trying on swimsuits is a historically dreaded event for most women stemming back to our prepubescent days. That can be amplified after having kids, especially if you feel pressured to “bounce back.” We’ve all been there but are here to reassure you that it’s okay to look different post-baby. Stretch marks, extra skin in the stomach area, boobs blessed by gravity—those things are completely normal. We’re a no-judgment zone on how you choose to view these new additions. Whether you embrace or conceal them is wholly up to you, but it only makes sense that the swimwear you buy post-kids considers all these changes.

A swimsuit specifically made for the moms? Well, turns out there’s a tried-and-true brand that’s made this their specialty: Miraclesuit. They’ve been making insanely slimming swimwear for the last 30 years—in fact, a few of our team members recognized Miraclesuit as the brand their moms turned to for a boost of summertime confidence. But they’re not your mom’s swimsuits anymore. Miraclesuit’s new modern, sleeker styles are exactly what Millennial and Gen-Z moms have been missing. These suits snatch you in and smooth you out while still looking trendy and stylish. Three editors got three different best-selling styles and wasted no time putting them to the test. Here are our honest thoughts about Miraclesuit’s body-shaping swimwear:

“When I shimmied into the suit, it was love at first sight.”
miraclesuit review

When I shimmied into the Jena Miraclesuit, I’m not exaggerating when I say it was love at first sight. I was initially shocked by how slimming it was and thrilled that despite its shaping effect, I could still move around comfortably. Checking myself out in the mirror gave me an instant confidence boost, a drastic difference from how I typically feel in other swimsuits. I immediately snapped a selfie to send to my mom friend group chat and no surprise, all my girlfriends demanded the link.

Post-babies my lower abs have been the area I find myself feeling insecure about and I’ve struggled to feel confident in most bathing suits because of it. I’ve never found a bathing suit that worked like shapewear until now thanks to Miraclesuit’s one-of-a-kind Miratex shaping fabric. It smoothed the tummy area out and cinched my natural waist. With a full coverage bottom that doesn’t ride up, I felt incredibly confident and prepared for a day of adjustment-free play at the pool with my boys. Plus, the mesh cutouts offer a touch of something sexy while still being appropriate for a day with family. It has quickly become my most flattering bathing suit and the one that I reach for the most.

“I felt snatched, covered, and chic…what a triple threat.”
miraclesuit review

There’s nothing like summer hitting while you’re seven months postpartum. If I’m being totally honest, I had some less-than-enthusiastic feelings about slipping into a swimsuit this summer, and those feelings were less about how I looked and more so about how I felt. It’s hard to feel like yourself after months of carrying (and caring for) another human. And now I’m chasing around a 5-year-old and a 7-month-old, which means no time off at the pool. I need support more than anything from my swimwear and, thankfully, Miraclesuit delivered.

When I put the Europa Miraclesuit on I instantly did that little “yay!” dance that you do when something fits so right. I felt snatched, covered, and chic…what a triple threat. Not only did it look amazing but it was equally supportive thanks to the underwire bra and immovable fabric. We all know getting kids sunscreened and situated will make you work up a sweat, but you know what never wavered? My suit. This thing held its ground despite endless bending over, picking up, moving, grooving, and everything in between. There was absolutely no riding up. The asymmetrical high-neck straps (which can be worn on one shoulder or both) also ensured that grabby baby hands couldn’t cause a flashing incident. But the top can still be moved aside for breastfeeding moms so you get the best of both worlds.

“I’ve never felt this good in a swimsuit, and now I’ll never go back.”
miraclesuit review

As a teen, my family would drag me swimwear shopping at the start of summer, and I loathed it every single time. Nothing would fit my 5’0, curvier frame the same way it fit the girls modeling it, which resulted in me leaving the fitting room in tears. That “swimsuit panic” followed me into adulthood and only worsened after birthing and breastfeeding two kids back-to-back. Most swimwear makes me hyper-aware of the extra skin in my lower stomach, my no longer perky boobs (RIP), and the major booty-cheek spillage that’s less than ideal when swimming with the in-laws. However, I’m tired of letting my insecurities get in the way of making memories with my kids so I decided to try the Utopia Miraclesuit, and, y’all, I was shocked in the best way.

As soon as I wiggled into the Miraclesuit, I knew it was gonna blow my mind. It addressed every single one of my concerns in one fell swoop. Adjustable halter straps and hidden underwire bra that instantly lifts my bust? Check. Draped fabric that conceals my lower tummy and enhances my waist? Check. Modestly cut bottoms that provide coverage while still feeling sexy? Triple check. I also absolutely loved the vibrant cayenne color of this suit that screams summer vibes. I’ve never felt this good in a swimsuit, and now I’ll never go back.
