Now that I’m a mom, I find I spend more time shopping than I would like. Between constant baby clothes refreshes to replacing stained home goods (starting solids is fun), finding high-quality staples that we can also afford to replace if need be is more important than ever. Now is not the time for us to be precious with designer clothes and dry-clean only fabrics.

It’s difficult to find a brand that caters to the entire family, but in my experience Quince makes life easier for me, my husband, and our baby. Ever since my motherhood journey began, I’ve made it a point to find brands I know I can trust and rely on so I don’t waste time or money shopping for disappointing products. This is where Quince comes in. Quince is a direct-to-consumer brand offering high-quality, sustainably made essentials at affordable prices. They keep their prices low by cutting out middlemen.

From clothes for everyone in your family to home essentials to wellness finds, Quince really does have it all. At least, that’s how it seems at first glance—which got me thinking, is it too good to be true? These days, it’s hard to know which affordable brands you can trust and which end up wasting more of your money in the long run. I’m happy to report that from my experience, Quince products are not only worth the price, but often surpass expectations. And yes, their cashmere really is as good as everyone says. It doesn’t pill quickly (I’ve seen zero pillage so far) and isn’t itchy (a major concern with even expensive cashmere pieces).

What is Quince?

If you’re new to Quince, let me introduce you. This San Francisco-based direct-to-consumer brand offers high-quality essentials—such as clothing for men, women, and children, as well as home decor items and travel essentials—at affordable prices. By partnering directly with top manufacturers and eliminating traditional supply chain intermediaries, Quince is able to deliver luxury products made from premium materials like Mongolian cashmere, Italian leather, Turkish cotton, and washable silk at reasonable prices.

Why I’m Drawn to Quince, Especially as a Mom

While I love a good deal, I don’t want to save money at the expense of our planet. I appreciate that Quince is committed to sustainability. The company collaborates with factories that ensure fair wages and responsible production practices. In our home, a huge part of our sustainability efforts is simply finding brands we can trust to sell us products that we can use for many years to come.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t believe the hype at first. “Cheap” cashmere seemed too good to be true, but I’ll happily admit I was wrong. So far, I haven’t had a single miss with Quince, which is a rarity even with my all-time favorite brands. If you’re on the hunt for some affordable essentials, keep reading for my honest (and probably too personal) Quince review.

Quince Review: The Best Pieces I’ve Tried

Ribbed Knit Cashmere Throw

This cashmere throw was my introduction to Quince and I’ll admit, it’s what totally hooked me. I’m a sucker for cashmere (life is too short not to wear cozy fabrics), but not the typical price point. I assumed this blanket required a trip to the dry cleaner and was afraid to pull it back out once our baby joined our family. Fortunately, I found these helpful care instructions for all Quince cashmere products and you can hand wash it. This is the softest blanket I own and whenever guests come over, they gravitate towards it. It’s also my new favorite crowd-pleasing gift idea.

Mongolian Cashmere Tee

I had a cashmere T-shirt on my wishlist for years, but always got sticker shock while shopping. For point of reference, J.Crew has a similar version for $138 right now, and it is thin and doesn’t fit or lay well. Once I realized you can wash Quince cashmere at home instead of heading to the dry cleaner, I dove deep into their impressive cashmere selection. When I saw I could snag this T-shirt for only $50, I had to take the chance.

I’m glad I did, it’s lightweight and perfect for transitional seasons like spring. I appreciate that it feels dressier than my normal T-shirts, but is still appropriate for mom activities like park trips. The grey option is so versatile—I find it’s an easy piece to dress up and down. I plan to slowly add more to my wardrobe as other tees start to wear out.

Italian Suede Shopper Tote

This tote is another mom win from Quince. The photos sold me on the beautiful suede material. I chose chocolate brown and the color is just as rich and luxe in-person, but that’s not what makes it special. I wanted to jump on the suede trend, but I didn’t realize I would also end up with what is possibly the most perfect mom bag of all time. It has eight pockets throughout the exterior and interior and a key holder. I find it’s the ideal bag to throw a few baby essentials in when I don’t want to lug a whole diaper bag around with me. The exterior pockets help me avoid digging for the essentials while running errands and I appreciate that I can fully zip the top up to hide whatever mom mess is brewing in my bag that day.

Organic Cotton Boyshort (6-Pack)

I promised I would overshare, so let’s talk about my favorite underwear. Finding a reasonably priced pack of comfortable, cotton underwear is no easy feat. Thanks to Quince, I can check that search off my list. For less than $30, you get six pairs of underwear made of organic cotton. Before he was born, I spent so much time and money ensuring my baby was fully stocked on organic cotton sheets, blankets, clothes, and accessories. I know I’m not the only mom who forgets to prioritize my own health and well-being, but this underwear pack is a step in the right direction.

Bamboo One Piece Pajama

I couldn’t do a Quince review for The Everymom without including my favorite baby finds. If you’re a fan of bamboo pajamas for the little ones, but don’t like the expensive price tags that tend to come with them, check out this offering from Quince. These zip-up onesies are easy to get on and off and are flexible enough for my super mover to play in. Made from ultra-soft, breathable bamboo fabric, these temperature-regulating and hypoallergenic pajamas are a win in my mom book.

Organic Cotton Gripper Socks 8-Pack

Is there anything worse than spending good money on baby socks you know will get lost? Quince comes in strong with the organic cotton here and anti-slip grippers on the soles for safety. My baby started walking at seven months (this is not a mom brag—it’s been fun but chaotic) and the grips help him stay sturdy on his feet on slippery surfaces like wood and tile.

Ribbed Quick Dry Bath Mat (Set of 2)

This isn’t my most exciting purchase, but once the baby started splashing in the bath, I started swapping out bath mats on the daily. I wanted something quality that could stand up to constant washings without breaking the bank. Because these are quick dry mats, I have a lot more success with hang drying them than my old mats, which helps me avoid the toll overdrying can take.

Men’s Mongolian Cashmere V-Neck Sweater

After 15 years of dating and marriage, my husband finally asked me to help him pick out his clothes. Truthfully, I was just as lost as he was. I thought since I found success with Quince basics, he might too. I wore his sweaters a lot while pregnant and I can assure you this one is soft and breathable, but thick enough to hang really nicely. When I asked my husband to help with this Quince review, he didn’t really give me any great soundbites. But he asked me to order another one of these sweaters, so I think that’s a win.

Men’s Organic Cotton Slub Crewneck Tee

Based on my research, $25 seems like the going price for affordable men’s T-shirts. My husband works in tech, so he wears a lot of T-shirts throughout the week between home and work life. I appreciate that we can stock up on these organic cotton ones without breaking the bank.
