"While I live in the midwest (meaning frequent snowstorms in March), this month has always felt lush to me. Green and glowing. I was in Ireland a few years back smack in the middle of the month and the hills there rolled like bolts of velvet.
Dotted with flowering shrubs and fluffy sheep, they glowed in great swaths of honey, goldenrod, and amber blurring with rich emeralds and salty, misty blues. That’s what March feels like: a great, unfurling yard of plush velvet, smoothing the way over cold, brutal days that came before. A new path, an endless beginning. Here’s to a lovely one, friends ☘️.
