As a work-from-home mom of an 8-year-old, I don’t often have the absolute need to get dressed in more than workout clothes. When everyone started wearing cute matching sets a few years back, I wasn’t sure it was the right look for me. But my sister, who is the most stylish person I know, is always rocking these cute matching lounge outfits and they honestly look so comfy and put together. So, I decided to put the most popular Amazon matching sets to the test and see which ones were right for me.
Because your registry isn’t just a checklist, we’re here to help you choose what’s best for you. From moms and experts who have been through it all, these are our winners for The Everymom’s 2025 Baby Registry Awards.
I’ve just recently started turning to Amazon for fashion—with much of my previously mentioned athleisure being purchased from there recently. And since I’ve been seeing a pattern of influencers and friends wearing these cute matching sets, I decided to give this trend a try.
I ordered nine of the most popular Amazon matching sets to see where they stood in fit, comfort, quality, and style. Read on for my honest reviews of Amazon’s most highly-rated matching sets.
Why Amazon Matching Lounge Sets Are a Mom’s Best Friend
Ok, I was suspicious at first too. The first time I put on a matching set I felt like a character from The Sopranos. The whole thing felt a little too disco lounge days for me, until I tried one on in black and wore it on a plane. The ease of a one-and-done outfit is a major perk of this trend. But I was surprised at just how stylish and put together I felt in something that I previously might have worn to the gym. For this look to feel current and stylish, it’s all about the fit, color, and how you style it. So if affordable fashion is your thing, the array of matching lounge sets available on Amazon can’t be beat.
How I Tested These Lounge Sets
I set out to review the most popular sets on Amazon, so I went through their sweatsuits section and filtered by “Avg. Customer Review.” From this list, I ordered nine that seemed to be the most my style, and in a mix of colors, shorts, and pants. No skirts for me this time.
When trying on each set, I looked for overall fit and fabric quality. Sometimes Amazon fashion items can have odd quirks, like a too-long sleeve, a bunching in the fabric, or a drawstring that doesn’t quite tighten. At 5 feet 4 inches, I am on the shorter side. So I was also looking for pants that didn’t completely drown me. I also don’t love fabrics that aren’t super breathable, so I tried to take that into account for my selections.
The Amazon Lounge Sets I Tried & My Honest Thoughts
PRETTYGARDEN Half-Zip and Joggers Set
This was one of the sets I was most excited about, yet it ended up being my least favorite of the bunch. As far as color variety goes, this was my favorite (and it comes in 21 other color options!). But the fit was off, starting with the pants length. They were so long that they bunched up at the ankles. And the top was also too long. This could be a great option if you are on the taller side.
Verdict: Return
Reason: Did not fit me correctly

Panadila Oversized Striped Shorts Set
Oh boy was I obsessed with this striped knit shorts set! Wearing this, it was easy to picture New England summers and magical post-beach afternoons. This also feels very “fisherman aesthetic” for 2025. As far as fit goes, this one had a larger variety of sizes so I didn’t have to size up. It did fit more snuggly than the others, but after wearing it for about an hour it stretched out a bit. The sweater fit perfectly and the fabric was so soft and cozy.
Verdict: Keeper!
Best for: Feeling Nantucket-chic without the price tag.

WIHOLL Mockneck Top and Wide-Leg Pants Set
Everything about this mockneck set felt wrong, from the beige color that was actually peach to the too-tight neckline. This fabric was also too heavy for my taste.
Verdict: Return
Reason: Fit was off, too heavy fabric

Linsery Knit Sweater Set
I have to say, be sure to take special consideration when picking out your color of choice on a lot of these sets. Most of the beige sets really tended to the more on the peachy side. I’m personally not a fan of anything balloon and gathered, and definitely not cuffs. However, if you’re into that look, you might love this set! I loved the wide-leg of the pants and the fabric but just couldn’t get past the sleeves.
Verdict: Return
Reason: Didn’t fit my personal style

ANRABESS Half-Zip Sweatshirt and Sweatpants Set
I had heard rumors of this perfect Amazon dupe for a more high-end sweat set, and it didn’t disappoint. This color was also more peachy than cool beige to me, but I can look past it because the fit was there. If I was looking for the perfect travel outfit that made me look like I was flying first class in coach, this would be the one!
Verdict: Keeper!
Best for: Travel, throwing on for school pick-up and drop-off

ANRABESS Chunky Knit Sweater Set
This was another set I wasn’t sure would be a hit, and I was so wrong! This is a perfect travel outfit. I would probably wear this more in the winter. The ribbed knit fabric was a little on the heavier side, so for me this is a cold weather (or blasting AC) option.
Verdict: Returning for now (I have to limit myself!), but will revisit in the winter.
Best for: Travel or winter lounging

ANRABESS Knit Sweater Vest Set
This is one of the most popular sets on Amazon, and for good reason. It’s so cozy, comfy, and feels so put together. I love the mockneck on this and how it’s wide enough to be stylish but not constricting. I also love the short sleeves and pocket detail. This one might be more of a lounge around the house look for me personally, because the knit fabric and gathered pants feel pretty casual. I still love it!
Verdict: Keeper!
Best for: Working from home, popping out for errands

MEROKEETY Batwing Sleeve Sweater and Shorts Set
While all of these can give off sleepwear vibes, this particular one felt too much like pajamas to me to wear outside of the house. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the batwing sleeve and the heavier fabric.
Verdict: Return
Reason: Too casual for my taste

Ekouaer Wide-Leg Pleated Pants Knit Set
I did not have high hopes for this black matching set, but I was very pleasantly surprised. This felt like something I could throw on for school drop-off and still look put together. The fabric is really breathable and since I tend to get warm easily, this felt like a nice option. Sadly I could not get past the pleated pants, so this one will make its way back to the Amazon warehouse.
Verdict: Return. But I’m on the hunt for a similar option!
Reason: Not a fan of the pleated pants.

Final Verdict: Which Amazon Lounge Set Is Best?
The Anrabess Amazon matching sets have a cult following for a reason. They are such a great price for the quality, and the style and color options are so wide. I also never knew that I would love a striped shorts set for the summer so much—I can’t wait to wear it! If you’re looking to buy a matching set from Amazon, I would order a few in different varieties and try them on at home. Every brand’s sizing is completely different (sometimes even varying in the same brand!) and the fabrics and colors can be different than how they appear online.
