There is nothing like being asked to write out your holiday wish list to really get the wheels spinning. What started as “gosh, nothing in particular!” quickly turned into “oh yea, there are quite a few things I’ve been eyeing this year.” So if you’re like me and feeling stuck on what to ask for this holiday season, hopefully my personal wish list—filled with classic fashion staples, beautiful home decor, and some self-care beauty items—will spark inspiration. Most of the items on my Christmas wish list were sourced from the virtual pages of The Everymom and The Everygirl this past year, including our holiday gift guides. But I added a few I had bookmarked from my Instagram, as well.
I’m also a boy mom to two sons, aged 5 and 6. And, let me tell you, gift ideas start getting trickier really quickly as your kids exit the peak toy era and delve into the world of sports, clothes, and tech. So, I’ve included some of the presents I plan on giving them that will hopefully be helpful for other parents struggling with ideas. I think what I’ve shared below works well as gift ideas for boys ages 5-8, although we have not branched into the world of video games yet, so you might notice the absence of gaming consoles.
Lastly, for those with a hard-to-shop-for husband like me, I’m sharing a few thoughtful gift ideas from my own list that he’s sure to love. And for even more inspiration in this department, check out The Everymom’s Gifts for Men Guide.
So, join me in exploring my holiday wishes, and hopefully it will spark some inspiration for your own festive Christmas wish list this year.
My 2024 Holiday Wish List
If I’ve found one fashion essential to be more reliable than any other, it’s a good white button-down shirt. I find myself reaching for the one that I own time and time again, whether it’s feeling put together for school pick-up or for a work event, it always fits the bill. I’d love to add this chic style from Sézane to my collection.
Jenny Bird ads have been coming for me hard on Instagram, and this image in particular stopped me in my tracks. I love the bold design of the Sofia bracelet, and immediately added it to my Christmas wish list.
Consider me influenced by cardigans this year. I’d love to add one of these chic, classic gold button sweaters in this year’s burgundy to my winter wardrobe.
I lean toward classic style in general, and this gorgeous belt by Sézane is the perfect addition to any high-waisted pant. I love the bold buckle that is eye-catching but understated at the same time.
I was gifted a cashmere beanie as a gift when I was much younger and that hat lasted me over a decade. The warmth, quality, and style were all so lovely, and I’m eager to add a similar version back into my life. This one fits the bill.
Are you freaking kidding me with how perfectly cute these are? I love loafers in general, and own a black pair, but I love this classic penny loafer style in chocolate brown.
I’ve been eager to add a few chocolate brown items to my wardrobe this year, and I think this pair is a great alternative to standard black leggings. Plus, I loved the ribbed texture of this popular Lululemon leggings style.
The amount of cute sneakers on the market can feel overwhelming, but I saw these in The Everygirl’s walking shoes article, and they’re like walking on a cloud and a trampoline all in one. Highly recommend to anyone in the market for a cute, new sneaker.
There is something so perfectly nostalgic and ’90s about the cut of these grey sweatpants. I want to live in them all winter and pretend the 2024 election didn’t just happen.
Sure, they might look like washcloths—but are they? Nope. These magic little cloths truly are magic erasers when it comes to makeup removal, and I love this seven-day kit. The perfect stocking stuffer gift!
I turned 39 this fall and feel 40 knocking on the door, so I know it’s time to adopt a more advanced skincare regimen. I have been meaning to try red light therapy for fine lines for a while now, and I have heard such wonderful things about LED Technologies and the reVive Light Therapy Lux Collection Glō in particular. All I want for Christmas is a lil’ anti-aging magic, thanks to modern technology. Consider this on my list.

I don’t know what it was about this year, but the bags under my eyes came in full force. I now need to start most days with these lil lovelies to zap the dark circles, so I’ll be asking for more in my stocking this Christmas.
We recently renovated our butler’s pantry and went less entertaining, more kitchen storage function. It’s such a beautiful, bright space now, I want to make sure the items that nestle on the counter are just as lovely. This trio of canisters fits the bill and serves both form and function.
Of all the kitchen tools and trinkets we have, we are currently without a spoon rest. I had a favorite one, ceramic and handmade that I picked up Montana, but it sadly broke. I’ve been wanting to replace it with another handcrafted ceramic style, and this spoon rest I found on Etsy is perfect.
It’s been amazing to watch Josh Young’s career grow over the years. I love his work as an artist, and I especially love his home design and curation even more. I’m hoping to add his gorgeous book to my coffee table this year.
I love entertaining and am always looking for ways to elevate future gatherings. These embroidered linen napkins stopped me in my tracks and made it to the top of my wish list this year. I can’t wait to use them for years to come at the holidays and year round.
Diana Brambila is a favorite artist of mine—I love her moody, dramatic florals and have wanted to hang some of her art in my home for years. I’ll be asking for a print from her Botanica series this Christmas.
Holiday Gift Ideas for My Boys Ages 5-6
Our older son is in elementary school and becoming more and more independent by the day. We are looking to get him the Gabb watch this Christmas so that we can easily call one another as needed. I also love that it has GPS tracking for us to keep an eye on him for things like town and school events or if he’s at a friend’s house. The Watch 3e is FREE off when you sign up for a Gabb Cellular Plan until 12/26!
This Jordan sweatsuit is as comfortable as it is stylish for little boys who are graduating from wearing cute clothes mom picked out to wanting cooler, sports-forward wear (i.e. both of my boys who are aged 6 and 5).
My niece received this a couple of years ago and I knew my boys would love it once they were the right age. I have no doubt Christmas morning is going to be full of laughter watching them zoom around the house on these.
We’ve gifted a few personalized books over the holidays, including I Spy books and stories with my sons’ names integrated into them. They’re always a huge hit. I know our younger son will love this pirate tale.
Our boys are big into LEGO sets. They’ve been amazing for independent play, their imaginations, their fine motor skills, and the process of following directions and building. We’re big fans! It’s also sparked our interest in Star Wars, earning the Millennium Falcon set a spot on their list this year.
We got these electric ride-on toys for our boys last year, so I am keeping it on this last as a suggestion to anyone looking for something really special this Christmas. They’re a huge hit with the boys and all of their friends.
Our kids love being read to, so I love this screen-free form of entertainment for them. The Yoto Mini allows them to listen to books, podcasts, and more while they have independent time.
Holiday Gift Ideas for My Husband
I love the French clothing brand Sézane for women and am excited to check out their menswear. Plaid patterns can be difficult and sometimes too much, but I am not surprised the stylish brand got it just right with this men’s plaid button down. Adding it to the gift list for men everywhere this holiday season.
After getting my husband Vuori joggers the last few years, he’s built up a large enough collection that I am looking to pivot. Taylor Stitch is one of the best menswear brands around. Every item is classic, versatile, well-made, and stylish. Their Après pant sweats are as handsome as they are cozy–the perfect gift for Christmas.
As the usual planner in our marriage, I could use a break when it comes to organizing family trips. This book is just the thing for my husband—hopefully sparking some inspiration for him to plan our next family adventure, complete with itinerary!
I live with three boys, so our home is overflowing with baseball hats—and they’re everywhere. I love this stylish hat organizer to keep my husband’s caps in one place, nice and tidy. Come to think of it, I should get one for each of my sons, as well.
I saw this in The Everymom’s Gifts for Men Guide and immediately added it to my cart. Oh how this would make our lives so much easier with all of its capabilities, providing security and guarding access to our home.
The pans in our kitchen have seen better days. My husband has taken over a lot of the cooking, and anyone who cooks knows the experience is immensely better with quality, so I think he’ll be excited about this lidded GreenPan.
