A mom of two, Kathy has produced hundreds of articles on a range of parenting topics, reviewed dozens of family-focused products, interviewed leading experts in the children and parenting world, and created viral parenting social media content.
Kathy has been a key contributor in the editorial parenting space for eight years, not only as a full-time editor at The Everymom but also as a freelance writer to top parenting sites, including Scary Mommy, Motherly, Parent Co., Her View from Home, and more. She’s always been a writer, and published her first short story, My Brother the Brat, back in second grade. Later, in high school, Kathy’s English teacher encouraged her to do something with her writing, but it took years for her to listen. Instead, she honed her creative and strategic skills during a decade-long career in marketing, before chasing her writing dream. Now instead of telling brand stories, she’s sharing her own.
Kathy holds a Bachelor’s of Arts from Marquette University.
When not working or parenting, Kathy would love to be reading on a beach chair, exploring an antique store, or grabbing drinks with her girlfriends. She’s forever updating her 100-year-old house and always planning her next trip to Disney World.
