"I know I’m not the only child of the ’90s who has a major soft spot for Gap. Even now, a whiff of one of their fragrances (which just returned?!) transports me right back to a mid-1990s mall, making my millennial heart all too happy. All that to say, my 30-something self nearly screamed out loud for joy when I saw that Gap, the nostalgic brand of my youth, would be teaming up with one of my favorite luxury brands, DÔEN.
DÔEN is a popular line of luxury women’s and kid’s clothing (complete with the price tag to back it up). So when they revealed that they’d be teaming up with Gap for a collection with a far more palatable price tag, I immediately added the time and date to my Google Calendar.
What is the Gap x DÔEN collaboration?
The Gap × DÔEN limited-edition collaboration launched on May 17. The collection has 51 pieces of clothing and accessories for both adults and kids. Retailing from $19.95 to $158, the collection has shared styles that mean parents can match with their little ones.
The partnership will combine the feminine, cottage-core-inspired designs of DÔEN with the timelessness of Gap, all with more Gap-geared pricing. While the pieces for this collection top out at $158, that’s about half the cost of what you’ll be spending for a similar dress from DÔEN.
Margaret Kleveland, cofounder and CEO of DÔEN, shared, “The timeless and iconic nature of the Gap brand is so inspiring to both Katherine [Kleveland] and me. We wore the brand endlessly as children and now dress our own little ones in their never-out-of-style essential pieces.”
In a celebration of its family focus, sisters front the the Gap × DÔEN collection campaign. This includes models and siblings Lily and Ruby Aldridge, as well as 11-year-old twin sisters Levia and Zahar.
The Perfect Collaboration for Moms
DÔEN is a brand near and dear to my heart for its designs, which helped me to regain my personal style postpartum. Its feminine, flowing designs are ideal for every part of motherhood, from pregnancy all the way through postpartum and parenting a toddler.
While the brand is not specific to maternity or postpartum, the line was built with motherhood at its core by sisters and founders Katherine and Margaret. Both are mothers who wanted to create clothing that was a celebration of women, with garments that could be passed along from one generation to the next.
The brand’s collaboration with Gap is an exciting next step in making its beautiful designs accessible to more and more people. I know for myself this will be the first time I’ll be purchasing DÔEN designs for my daughter to wear as well. I could never justify a $200+ dress for my toddler. But at a Gap price, I am excited to finally get to match with her in my favorite clothing. The collection has plenty of styles and prints that come in adult, kid, toddler, and baby sizing. Perfect for a family-matching moment!

Another highlight from the collection is the Floral Midi Dress, which I picked up along with a matching toddler option. The beautiful floral pattern and easy fit make this a great option for summer events. Perhaps my favorite part of the dress is the small detail of the top lining, which is finished off with a cute baby blue bow.
Eyelet Midi Dress
I was immediately excited for this dress as it’s a variation on the brand’s popular Marianne Dress (just $100 less!). This comfortable midi dress comes with beautiful eyelet detailing that makes it particularly unique. It’s available in both a dark denim wash and white. With an elasticized waist, this is an easy dress to throw on and look immediately put-together.
Organic Cotton Eyelet Big Shirt
If you couldn’t already tell, I’m definitely a gal who leans more into dresses. However, I couldn’t resist trying this oversized shirt! The menswear-inspired selection is finished off with a truly unique eyelet collar to give it a more feminine touch. While it’s a bit too hot in Florida to get away with wearing this now, I could absolutely see myself pairing it with jeans once the weather (eventually) cools down.

The beautiful detailing on this navy blue cardigan brings an extra touch of femininity to an everyday piece. It serves as a perfect choice for chillier summer nights.
With the look of jeans and the feel of soft chambray, you’ll be reaching for these trousers any time you want to look instantly chic but still be comfortable. They also come in a khaki option.
The brand is well known for its beautiful Mary Janes, so it’s exciting to see those featured as part of the collaboration! They’re available in a gorgeous deep blue that will pair well with just about anything from the limited-edition line.
This pattern is available for both adults and kids, with floral set against a pretty light blue. The colors in this dress are pulled together by a pop of hot pink detailing along the neckline.
The floral design seen on the adult dresses and skirts can also be found in this lovely dress for kids! The puff sleeves paired with the smocked bodice are classic DÔEN (and this dress is a personal favorite of mine from the collab).
Another fun DÔEN design for kids, this adorable blue and white gingham dress comes with poof sleeves, smocking, and a delicate bow at the neck.
