Sala season is upon us! Even though all my family does is hang out in the living room with a plate of homemade Puerto Rican food while sharing good chisme, it’s tradition to dress to the nines while doing so. Naturally, I couldn’t help myself when I discovered this feather-trimmed skirt. And paired with the ribbed turtleneck bodysuit, it’s simultaneously giving Clueless and “Santa Baby” vibes. The chain link bracelet and earrings are the perfect glam accents. Finish the fit with knee-high boots and you’re a cozy chic dream ready to stun at any holiday party.

Around the holidays, I’m always looking for elevated casual outfits that can take me from a coffee date or shopping downtown to family dinner at home without needing a total wardrobe change. I like to start with a more casual base, like these Spanx faux leather leggings (they give you the best sculpted feeling without sacrificing comfort or mobility) and a neutral, boxy sweater (I love the ribbed material and off-shoulder detail!). I’m all about cozy and this outfit gives off a cozy vibe, but still makes me feel put-together. For New Year’s this year, my family and I are renting a house with four other families in the mountains, so this look is going to be perfect: cozy and comfortable, plus a little touch of festive. The turtleneck is so soft and warm and the jeans have the perfect amount of stretch in them. In total our group will be 10 adults and 14 kids, so I feel confident that an all-black outfit is the way to go (this holds true in everyday life with my 1 and 3-year-old kids as well). I love adding a little pop of sparkle with these hair clips, which are the perfect accessory for moms of little ones since big earrings are risky with grabby hands. I’ll be sporting this look for a relaxing New Year’s Eve away, plus will be wearing this teddy coat on repeat all winter.

I’m truly a sucker for all-things neutral, but I also love to add a little pop of color, especially during the holiday season (I just can’t get enough green!). Striped sweaters are having a serious moment right now, so I have been on the hunt for the perfect striped sweater since the beginning of fall. When I saw this one, I knew I had to have it—I especially love the bell sleeve detail. Paired with these on-trend, split-hem, slightly flared jeans (which I’ve already gotten tons of compliments on, BTW!) and this gorgeous oatmeal coat, this look is perfect for strolling a Christmas market or heading to a casual holiday party.

I live for a monochrome loungewear set—I can wear them from working from home to school pick-up paired with a vest, coat, or scarf. Soft velvet gives this set from VICI an elevated look, so I plan to wear it for Christmas morning—when we take an annual family picture in front of the tree—and can even wear it to take our dog around the block. Plus, as someone who is perpetually cold (why do I live in Michigan, again?) I love that the scarf and sherpa vest add to the cozy factor (the vest even has a plaid lined interior fabric I love).
