As soon as your baby starts crawling, you suddenly start to see your house through new eyes. For me, that moment came when my daughter hit the 10-month mark. Not only was she crawling in every direction at lightning speed, but she also discovered that she could pull herself up on just about anything. And on every surface her tiny hands gripped, I noticed it for the first time: the dust.

My Experience Using the Sans Mini Air Purifier
On a practical level, the Sans Mini checked every box with its professional-grade HEPA filtration (which helps clear up to 99.9 percent of pollutants and everyday allergy triggers) and its automated “set-it-and-forget-it” smart sensors. But as a working mom with exactly zero free time, what looked good on paper turned out to be an absolute lifesaver in reality. I expected a basic appliance, but after watching it seamlessly handle our hectic household, a few specific features quickly made it my new favorite addition.
It blends seamlessly into any space
While function is the priority with air purifiers, aesthetics matter, too. If you’ve also spent countless hours carefully decorating your child’s room, you know the struggle of finding functional baby gear that isn’t an eyesore. I opted for their new blush color, which is the perfect shade of deep pink for my daughter’s nursery. It genuinely looks like it was custom-picked for her space. Even when it’s illuminated, the lighting feels elevated and intentional rather than harsh or distracting.
One of my favorite things about this purifier is that it doesn’t demand valuable floor space. My daughter’s nursery is not working with a ton of real estate, and every square foot feels important now that she’s constantly on the move. The Sans Mini tucked perfectly into the little nook between her corner chair and crib, where it could still circulate air throughout the room without sitting directly in her crawling path. But when she does get curious enough to tap her little fingers on the controls, the child lock feature is easy to activate. The smart sensors actually work
Lots of products claim they can automatically detect changes in air quality, but I wasn’t sure how noticeable it would be in real life. My true “okay, I’m impressed” moment happened when I moved it from the nursery (where it had always indicated clean air) into our living room for a little experiment. Our kitchen, dining room, and living room are all connected in one large open-concept space with tall ceilings. The Sans Mini covers up to 490 sq. ft., so I wanted to see if this small but mighty purifier sitting across the room would notice what was happening in the kitchen. Shortly after moving it, I made dinner and waited.
A little smoke escaped from my frying pan, and by the time we sat down to eat, the Mini on the opposite side of the room had already detected it. I was genuinely surprised that something so compact could detect and respond to air quality changes in such a large space. It’s baby bedtime friendly–no loud noises or bright lights to be found
There are very few things more terrifying than accidentally waking a sleeping baby. Thankfully, the Sans Air Purifier passes the bedtime test. On level one, it’s whisper quiet. My daughter sleeps with a sound machine for naps and overnight sleep, and even with the purifier positioned close to her crib, I literally can’t hear it running at all.
But my favorite feature is the screen-off setting. With one tap, all the indicator lights turn off while the purifier continues running in the background. The controls are straightforward, the symbols are easy to understand, and after a few clicks, you’re done. So if you walk into the nursery in the middle of the night, you wouldn’t even know it’s there. For anyone trying to maintain a dark sleep environment, that’s a huge win.
It keeps track of filter replacements for me
I’m quickly learning that motherhood comes with a million new things to keep track of, so it’s easy to forget about small maintenance like filter replacements. That was actually one of my annoyances with our old air purifier—I could never remember when to replace filters. Thankfully, the Mini has a built-in filter replacement indicator that immediately notifies me. But what I love even more is that Sans offers a filter subscription that automatically ships me a new one before I even need it.
For me, the answer is yes. Will an air purifier magically eliminate every single dust bunny hiding in your home? Not quite, but before getting the Sans Mini, I was dusting baseboards like it was my part-time job. But not anymore. I’m cleaning those pesky nooks and crannies far less, my daughter isn’t running her tiny fingers over gross surfaces, and my husband stopped startling the house with his constant sneezes.
As a busy working parent, I know there will always be laundry to fold, dishes to put away, and corners of the house that don’t get cleaned as often as I’d like. Having something quietly working in the background to help improve the air quality for my whole family is one less thing to worry about. And in this stage of life, I’ll happily take any help I can get.
