Whether you’re a ‘soccer family’ or want to get your kiddo hyped up about their very first soccer game, one of the best ways to get your kids excited about soccer is by introducing them to movies about the sport.
In fact, the first sport my son tried was soccer. As a 4-year-old kiddo, I wasn’t expecting him to be the next Lionel Messi or Lamine Yamal. Getting him to step on the field was the goal, really. His very first game wasn’t all that successful (although I did get a cute picture of him on the sidelines). I’d say he was most excited for the end-of-game snacks. After all, I hadn’t really introduced him to soccer.
So, to give him more of a visual, I pulled up videos of soccer clips and players scoring goals so he could get the general picture. Did he get on the field the next game? He sure did.
