As moms, there is one thing we can all (I hope!) agree on: finding ways to save time and money are paramount to our daily lives. If there’s something that can make getting dinner on the table, getting groceries, or even getting my little one excited about learning easier, I’m first in line to try it. That’s what makes some subscription services indispensable to our team.

As a mom, I’m constantly looking for ways to make my family’s life and schedule move with less stress. There are so many subscription services and boxes that make day-to-day a little easier right now, and there’s something for everyone out there. From grocery delivery to education and entertainment, and even getting razors delivered to your door when you need them, there is a subscription to make so much of your life happen without you having to worry.

Below, a few of our editors share their favorite tried-and-true subscription services—check out our recs!

1. Noggin

Noggin is a subscription learning platform from Nickelodeon for kids ages 2-6 (and beyond!) that was developed by a team of education experts. Featuring beloved Nick Jr. characters from Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig, Bubble Guppies, and more, the subscription-based app includes activities, educational games, eBooks, and short videos created exclusively for the platform.

Why I Love It

With the start of the school year, I know that screens are an inevitability in my family’s day. My 6-year-old son comes home from school while I still have to finish up work, and he now knows to immediately reach for the iPad. So I try to make that time in front of the screen as educational as possible with Noggin. With tons of opportunities for learning (games, books, and more!) with his favorite Nick Jr. characters, he may not even notice he’s learning so actively because he is enjoying it so much. And knowing that Noggin was developed by education experts gives me the peace of mind that our screen time is being used in a constructive way. — Roberta Correia, Editor-in-Chief

2. Rocket Money

Rocket Money (formerly Truebill) is a money management app that aims to help you better your relationship with your finances and have control over your spending. Not only is it a budgeting and tracking app, but it also monitors all of your subscriptions and regular payments so that you can be sure you’re not paying for anything that you don’t use. Rocket Money can also help you save with their Autopilot Savings feature, which allows you to set goals and frequency preferences and then automatically puts money away for you.

Why I Love It

I’ve been using Rocket Money for a little over a year now, and I can honestly say it has changed my relationship with money. Before using this app, I had absolutely no idea how much I was spending month-to-month, and to be honest, the thought of tracking and budgeting on my own was very overwhelming to me. I downloaded it on a whim, and I have been singing its praises ever since. Since I’ve been using it, I feel more comfortable with my finances and much less stressed because I know that I am in control. I also love that you can choose how much you pay for it each month (I pay only $3 monthly). — Jess Welsh, Associate Commerce Editor

3. Billie

Billie is a female-first shave and body subscription service that delivers high-quality razors and clean and gentle products—like shave creams and body wash—right to your front door. You can base your subscription on a frequency that fits your individual needs and at an affordable price. Billie’s shave plan is the easiest way to make sure you never run out of razors and can be adjusted, skipped, or canceled at any time.

Why I Love It

I signed up for Billie in April of 2020 and have been using and loving it ever since. In full transparency, I am not one to shave my legs all the time. So when I decide it’s time for a fresh shave, it’s so convenient and comforting to know I already have Billie refill blades ready to use instead of stressing about whether or not I have a razor handy. It’s one less thing I have to worry about running to the store to get. And, don’t even get me started on how smooth my legs are after using Billie’s award-winning razors. The sharp blades wrapped in aloe moisturizer with a curve-hugging pivoting head makes for the most effortless, perfect shave. — Keely Geist, Senior Social Media Editor

4. Grove Collaborative

Grove Collaborative is a marketplace for home cleaning products (and much more). Every product meets strict standards for being nontoxic, effective, sustainable, and cruelty-free. You can either buy one-off packages of products or sign up for a subscription. There is no membership fee and your first order comes with tons of free product you will actually use. There are Grove products and also other name brands available on the site.

Why I Love It

Since having kids, it’s really important to me to use clean products in my home and to eliminate as many unnecessary chemicals as possible. That being said, I don’t actually want to take the effort to research all the products we use. So that’s where Grove helps me out. If I buy something on their site, I can be confident that it’s safe for my family. It makes it easy! I feel good about ordering cleaning supplies from Grove and don’t have to do any of the work or research.

I typically order one-off items but also subscribe for the items I use on a regular basis. This ensures I am never without necessary cleaning products. For one-off orders, I get more fun things like nontoxic nail polish and sparkle toothpaste for my toddler. — Amanda Shapin Michelson, Senior Manager of Brand Partnerships

5. Shipt

Shipt is a same-day (as fast as an hour) delivery service that gets you access to your favorite stores that are local to you. You get direct access to your shopper to share specifics about what you need, amend your order, or add things in real time. In addition to your most popular grocery stores, the service also includes popular destinations such as Target, Petco, CVS, Walgreens, BuyBuyBaby, Costco, Sephora, and more.

Why I Love It

There is no service I am a bigger superfan of than Shipt. Four years ago, I found myself with a 35-week-old baby in the NICU and had very limited time to get what I needed. I signed up for yearly $99 membership and the rest was history. Shipt feels like I have a personal assistant available to me whenever I need—on a budget I can afford. I use this for grocery runs, last-minute school needs, sick days, dog food emergencies, and everything in between. The amount of hours and stress I have saved myself using Shipt is worth its weight in gold. The ability to add and adjust my order as the shopper is in-store is key and I have found all of the shoppers to be so helpful and they always go above and beyond. 10/10 recommend this service for any parent! — Alexandra Pagar-Wolf, Chief of Sales & Marketing
