As soon as I joined the TTC train, my add-to-cart habit skyrocketed. From ovulation strips to pregnancy supplements, I couldn’t resist shopping for the upcoming (hopeful) life change. What can I say—the excitement left me with very little impulse control. That certainly didn’t stop once I finally became pregnant, but after having my first little one, I realized there was a pile of pregnancy products that had only been used once or twice—or not at all.

Shortly after my oldest’s first birthday, I discovered I was pregnant yet again (yep, two under 2). That time, I promised myself I wouldn’t black out while online shopping again. I evaluated my existing stash of pregnancy items and determined what actually worked and what didn’t. My tried-and-true list of products is specific to my personal experience, but I narrowed my needs to a few categories that could apply to most pregnant people: products that would benefit my health, keep me comfortable, and help make life easier.

I used most of these items after birth and throughout the postpartum season as well, so I feel confident recommending these pregnancy products to any expecting mamas out there looking for more first-hand guidance.

Pregnancy products that are worth purchasing

Ritual
Essential Prenatal and Natal Choline Set

I had terrible pregnancy aversions to pretty much any unpleasant smell during my first trimester, including prenatals—until I found Ritual. Both their Prenatal Multivitamin and Natal Choline bottles include citrus-essenced tabs that smell like a basket of lemons, which would do wonders in helping to curb my pregnancy-related nausea so that I could give my LO the key nutrients they need (without the gagging). Adding Natal Choline to my routine also helped support my daily choline intake, which supports long-term cognitive benefits for baby!*
