Mac and cheese may be the most beloved kid food out there. Even now, when I’m too tired to decide what to make for dinner, I often choose mac & cheese. But it’s not Kraft I stock up on when I go to the grocery store—it’s Goodles, the nutrient-packed, cheesy alternative that has reimagined America’s favorite comfort food. The pasta brand is known for its allergen-friendly options, but yesterday, a voluntary recall was announced by the FDA for two of the brand’s vegan and nut-free mac and cheeses, which may contain undeclared amounts of milk and cashews.

Which Goodles Mac & Cheeses are being recalled?
According to the press release from Goodles, two types of Goodles Mac & Cheese were affected by the recall. See below for their UPC, lot codes, and best buy dates:
Goodles Vegan is Believin’ – Plant-Based White Cheddar with Spirals
- Size: 5.25 oz.
- Lot codes: 09725N, 09825N, 09925N, 10025N, and 10125N
- Best-by dates: All dates from July 7 to July 11, 2026
- UPC: 850031990074
Goodles Here Comes Truffle – Creamy Black Truffle Flavored Cheddar and Shells
- Size: 6 oz.
- Lot codes: 10125 N, 10425 N, and 10525 N
- Best-by dates: July 11, 2026; July 14, 2026; and July 15, 2026
- UPC: 850031990159
Five lots of Goodles Vegan is Believin were affected by the recall, and may contain undeclared amounts of milk. Three lots of Goodle’s Here Comes Truffle were affected by the recall, and may contain undeclared amounts of cashew. Anyone with a milk or cashew allergy runs the risk of a severe or even life-threatening reaction if they consume these products. The issue was initially discovered through consumer feedback, and there have since been six reported allergic reactions in connection with Here Comes Truffle and two in connection with Vegan is Believin’.
The recalled products were produced between April 7 and April 15, 2025. They were distributed nationally between April 29, 2025 and August 5, 2025. The applicable UPC and lot codes can be found on the outside of the product, and are listed above. Other Goodles Mac & Cheeses were not affected by the recall and are safe to eat.
What should you do if you have the recalled Goodles Mac n’ Cheese?
If you or anyone in your family has dairy or nut allergies, you should dispose of the product immediately. You can also return it to its place of purchase for a full refund. If you believe you or someone in your family is experiencing an allergic reaction as a result of this product, please contact a healthcare provider or visit the Emergency Room.
