The year is coming to an end, and it’s satisfying to see all the novels and audiobooks I finished. This is a big accomplishment in my books (pun intended). While Spotify listeners look forward to their Spotify Wrapped—an annual breakdown of their personal recap of the top artists, songs, and more—Spotify just released some exciting news! In 2024, Spotify rolled out a Wrapped experience specifically showcasing authors. In 2025, for the first year ever, audiobooks will be part of the Spotify Wrapped experience for listeners. This new experience gives listeners a breakdown of all the books they listened to over the year.

Along with my go-to rom-coms, as a parent, there are also some parenting and relationship books sprinkled throughout my reading list. Authors like Dr. Becky Kennedy and Jonathan Haidt of The Anxious Generation have saved some parenting moments a time or two. Books on how to improve relationships also spark some interest, especially when most days are consumed by the kids. So, if you’re wondering what the top parenting and relationship audiobooks were in 2025, Spotify is giving the full rundown of the top 10 audiobooks for parents that you may want to add to your TBR list for the upcoming year.

What is Spotify Wrapped?

Spotify, the popular digital music and podcast platform, releases an annual report to Spotify listeners called “Spotify Wrapped.” This report includes a personalized summary with some fun insights for Spotify listeners. For those who have a Spotify account, you can see your music and podcast highlights, top songs and artists, the total number of minutes spent listening on Spotify, and more. Spotify Wrapped also releases the top tracks of the year.

What listeners can expect in the Spotify Wrapped for audiobooks

If you’re wondering whether or not audiobooks count towards Spotify’s Spotify Wrapped analytics, the answer is, “yes.” For the first time, Spotify Wrapped is adding a feature for audiobook lovers. This will incorporate listeners’ top audiobooks of the year, the number of audiobooks listened to in 2025, the top genre listened to, and a message from their top author (if applicable). Additionally, audiobook listeners can see the top books everyone listened to from various book genres.

How to get your 2025 Spotify Wrapped recap

In order to get the full Spotify Wrapped recap, download Spotify’s updated app from either Apple’s App Store or Android’s Google Play Store. Then log in to your Spotify account and find your Wrapped playlist in the app. You may also find your Wrapped in your email inbox.

Spotify Wrapped: the top parenting and relationship audiobooks in 2025

1. The Anxious Generation

by Jonathan Haidt

It’s no surprise that author Jonathan Haidt’s The Anxious Generation made it as the top parenting audiobook on Spotify Wrapped. The topic of mental health in relation to the digital era is an ongoing conversation for parents (and The Everymom editors). As a psychologist, Haidt’s expertise is valuable in explaining how screen time affects children and their mental health. If you haven’t read this book yet, it’s never too late to join the conversation.

2. Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents

by Lindsay C. Gibson, PsyD

I’ll be the first to say that parenting isn’t always easy. Learning how to parent can come with learning how to break generational patterns, too. In Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents, clinical psychologist Lindsay Gibson uncovers how to work through childhood trauma related to growing up with parents who were emotionally immature and unavailable.

3. Good Inside: A Guide to Becoming the Parent You Want to Be

by Becky Kennedy

Clinical psychologist Dr. Becky Kennedy is a well-known parenting expert. Kennedy covers topics on her Good Inside with Dr. Becky Podcast, like what it’s like raising kids in a world of smartphones, to talking about how to get siblings to get along. In her New York Times bestseller, Good Inside, is a useful resource on how to raise children with practical blueprints.

4. Expecting Better: Why the Conventional Pregnancy Wisdom is Wrong—and What You Really Need to Know

by Emily Oster

For expectant mothers, this book may be one to add to the TBR list for 2026. Economist and author Emily Oster exposes all the misleading and unexplained recommendations pregnant women are given during pregnancy, like avoiding cold cuts, and why expecting mothers are advised to avoid caffeine. This book is “for every pregnant woman who wants to enjoy a healthy and relaxed pregnancy.”

5. Scattered Minds: The Origins and Healing of Attention Deficit Disorder

by Gabor Maté MD

A New York Times bestseller, Scattered Minds: The Origins and Healing of Attention Deficit Disorder by Dr. Gabor Maté guides readers through attention deficit disorder (ADD/ADHD), along with how a social and emotional environment affects children with ADD/ADHD into adulthood.

6. It’s Not You: Identifying and Healing from Narcissistic People

by Ramani Durvasula PhD

Clinical psychologist Dr. Ramani Durvasula uses her background and expert knowledge of working with survivors of narcissism to educate readers on narcissistic behaviors and how to deal with them.

7. The 5 Love Languages

by Gary Chapman

If you’re looking for a book to improve a relationship, this book comes highly recommended. Published in 2005, Gary Chapman’s The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts is still as popular today as it was 20 years ago. This book explores the five different types of love languages, along with how partners can better express them to each other.

8. How to Love Better: The Path to Deeper Connection Through Growth, Kindness, and Compassion

by Yung Pueblo

This bestselling book available on Spotify for audiobook readers teaches how to ‘love better’ with guides on how to build harmony in a relationship, how to overcome attachment, and even how to argue, and more.

9. Hunt, Gather, Parent: What Ancient Cultures Can Teach Us About the Lost Art of Raising Happy, Helpful Little Humans

by Michaeleen Doucleff

Becoming a mother sparked Dr. Michaeleen Doucleff’s curiosity about effective approaches to parenting. In Hunt, Gather, Parent, Deoucleff shares her experience visiting a Maya village in the Yucatán Peninsula, observing their parenting styles. And along with her 3-year-old daughter, Doucleff sets off to explore multiple communities, including Inuit families above the Arctic Circle and Hadzabe families in Tanzania, and their effective ways of parenting.

10. All About Love: New Visions

by Bell Hooks

Lastly, number 10 comes from author Bell Hooks. As the first book of the Love Song to the Nation trilogy, the book All About Love: New Visions uncovers how people as a collective group can lead with more compassion, unity, and love in the world.
