At the beginning of every year, I get excited about what the next big trends are going to be. From fashion to home decor to music and more, it’s fun to predict the things that will define our year. And while colors might not seem like the stand-out feature of any given year, they certainly can encapsulate a moment in time. Before we get into the top fashion color trends of 2025, let’s take a trip down memory lane.
What does the combination of chocolate brown and pale pink bring to mind? Perhaps your childhood bedroom. And what about the mint green and coral fascination that had a chokehold on our “dream wedding” Pinterest boards and our closets in the early 2010s? Even without us realizing, trending colors of the year always make it into our homes, wardrobes, and more.
Pinterest analyzed searches on their platform to curate this year’s Pinterest Palette 2025. This is an accompaniment to their Pinterest Predicts report, which helped inform our 2025 fashion trend predictions. Scroll on for an in-depth look at all five color trends, plus our favorite fashion pieces in each to incorporate into your wardrobe in 2025.
Cherry Red
We’ve been talking about red’s reigning era since the end of 2023. Turns out, it’s not going anywhere in 2025. Whether you rock a deeper bing cherry hue or a shade reminiscent of a maraschino cherry, you can’t go wrong with a pop of red in any look.

Butter Yellow
If you’ve been paying attention since summer 2024, you’d know that butter yellow has made its way into mainstream. And I am so happy to see this as one of the fashion color trends of 2025, because it’s one of my absolute favorites. This dreamy hue is especially perfect for spring and summer.

Aura Indigo
Aura Indigo, a gorgeous lilac-esque color, brings a serene, dreamlike presence into your closet. It’s bold, but also soft. I think people can have a lot of fun with this color in 2025, especially in accessories and shoes.

Dill Green
In the wake of mint green and sage green before it, dill green is here to have its moment. This hue, which could also be classified as avocado or matcha green, makes a statement without being too much. While we’ll surely see this in home decor, it will really shine in your wardrobe as well.

Alpine Oat
While this color is a neutral, it’s not to be overlooked. Alpine Oat is the perfect shade of creamy white, reminiscent of oat milk. It will have a place in anyone’s wardrobe. Whether you’re going on a ski trip or just need a basics refresh, look to this color for stunning sweaters, leather goods, and silky pieces.
