Kylie Kelce truly rocked the headlines last week when she and her husband, Jason Kelce, announced they are expecting their fourth baby girl—AND launching a new podcast, Not Gonna Lie With Kylie Kelce. If you don’t know who Kylie is, she’s the wife of Jason Kelce, former professional football center for the Philadelphia Eagles. She’s previously known for being under the radar and trying to stay “behind the scenes.” However, people have taken to Kylie, and she’s genuinely become a fan favorite—especially to the moms.
Kylie is currently a mom to three girls, Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett, and pregnant with her fourth. While it’s no secret that her famous husband and brother-in-law, Travis Kelce—tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs and Taylor Swift’s boyfriend—have had their own podcast since 2022 called New Heights, people have been rallying for Kylie to start a podcast of her own. When the Not Gonna Lie podcast trailer was released on November 25, it quickly became the number one trailer on Apple Podcasts.
Kylie first caught my attention when she was filmed throwing—not folding—clothes into her luggage while packing for Super Bowl LVII in the 2023 Amazon Prime Documentary, Kelce. Since then, she’s forever been embedded in my head as a relatable mom. So, it’s no surprise that I immediately penciled the launch date of her podcast into my calendar the moment I heard about it. With all the anticipation, the first podcast episode of Not Gonna Lie With Kylie Kelce aired on December 5, and of course, I had to give my honest review. I’m not gonna lie—I’m a fan.
Why Moms Love Kylie Kelce
Hands down, I think a lot of people will be tuning into her podcast every week because Kylie “keeps it real” when it comes to motherhood. She’s pretty direct with any topic that comes her way.
Besides being a relatable mom, Kylie is also a philanthropist. She has helped with foundations like the (Be)Philly Foundation, and her work with the Eagles Autism Foundation hasn’t gone unnoticed. She’s been influential in dedicating her time to advocate for people with all disabilities. Plus, she is also a former field hockey player turned field hockey coach, graduated with a degree in communications, and she is listed as the current Event Consultant for the Eagles Autism Foundation.
What Is Kylie Kelce’s Podcast About?
While Kylie really wants no part in being in the spotlight, the media won’t let her—so, she’s running with it. Instead of allowing everyone to talk about her and her family, Kylie is cutting any chance of there being a middleman of misinformation and making sure all the chatter comes straight from the source. Her main goal is to be honest—hence, the podcast name, Not Gonna Lie. She plans on covering topics anywhere from parenting to sports and entertainment. If you’re up for listening to all-things related to women supporting women, sports, and motherhood, it might just be the mom podcast for you.
What to Know About Kyle Kelce’s New Podcast
Episode 1 Synopsis
In the first episode, Kylie opens up her talk with her version of “20 Questions” where she instead answers “5-ish Questions.” Kylie addresses the New York Post’s recent story on her swearing in front of her kids, her relatable experience with gender disappointment, and what she really thinks about gender reveals. She mentions how she wants to raise her girls to be strong and independent women and discusses whether her youngest daughter, Bennett, ever recovered from finding out that she’s no longer the baby of the family. Kylie also briefly covers how she’s honestly dealing with her current pregnancy.
Kylie ends the second half of her podcast with an interview with actress Kaitlin Olson, who has starred in popular TV shows like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Hacks, and High Potential. During their candid convo, they hit topics like the differences of being a “girl mom” vs. a “boy mom“ and how they each dealt with navigating early motherhood. Kylie also confesses (*spoiler alert*) to Olson that she has never watched a full episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which had me laughing.
How Long Are Not Gonna Lie Episodes?
If you’re a mom, you’ll appreciate Kylie’s thoughtfulness for your time. She acknowledges that moms don’t have all the time to be listening to podcasts, especially all in one sitting. With this in mind, Kylie has promised to do her best to keep each Not Gonna Lie episode no longer than 45 minutes. She’s right. In true mom fashion, I had to pause the first episode multiple times. One time because I had to clean my pump parts and I couldn’t hear over the running water. Another time because my toddler asked me to play with him. It took me almost two hours to finish it.
Where to Listen to Not Gonna Lie With Kylie Kelce
Episodes will feature her interviewing a guest, and new Not Gonna Lie With Kylie Kelce episodes drop every Thursday. You can find her podcast on major platforms like YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.
What I Anticipate for Future Not Gonna Lie Episodes
Even though she graduated with a communications degree, Kylie claims it “means nothing” and she blames her “lack of” being a professional podcaster is partly due to having “mommy brain.” When she “pushed her kids out,” she “pushed her brains out with them,” she says in the first episode. I would give Kylie more credit because I already felt like I was casually sitting on a couch with her chuckling over some mom-to-mom conversations. Plus, fans have pointed out that, given she has a degree in communications, Kylie’s actually the only qualified Kelce to have a podcast (LOL).
While I have no doubt that she’ll eventually have her husband, Jason, on the show, it’s hard to say who else will be a guest in the future. Fans like Instagram user @chelsea_irene14, are hoping to have Taylor Swift sit in on a convo. They’re saying things like Swift “needs to be a guest!!!” but people are trying to chill out on the notion. Personally, I’d love to hear Kylie and actress Kristen Bell of Nobody Wants This talk about motherhood or anything, really. I could see her interviewing mom and sportscaster Erin Andrews or maybe professional WNBA star Caitlin Clark later down the road. All-in-all, I’m excited to tune in every week. Kylie argues that she has “no business” in talking to her guests, but I think she definitely does. She has opinions, experience, relatability, and I’m ready to hear it all.
