Romance
Romance is a genre that continues to rapidly gain popularity. These charming stories have captured readers worldwide, and there is no shortage of new titles to enjoy in 2026. From romance queens like Carley Fortune and Annabel Monaghan to lesser-known (but equally incredible) authors, these reads should earn a priority position on your 2026 TBR.

Frankie and George are childhood best friends, but having grown apart in adulthood, Frankie isn’t even sure if George will show up for her wedding. Then, she’s even more unsure where they stand when she’s left at the altar by her fiancé. Frankie’s life is a mess, but George swoops in nonetheless with an idea to heal her broken heart: go on her honeymoon. But surfing and exploring rainforests quickly turns into an emotional rollercoaster, one where long-buried feelings will finally be confronted.
Carley Fortune is the romance queen we can’t get enough of! Fans of Emily Henry and Abby Jimenez will love her writing.
Annabel Monaghan really is worth the hype—and her new book is no exception! Dolly Brick is a problem solver. Her mom may have left her when she was a kid, but that hasn’t stopped her from being there for her son and her father and brother, who need her now so they don’t lose their family home in Whitfield, Rhode Island. Then, Stewart Whitfield enters the picture: annoyingly perfect and in need of her help. She can’t help being there for him, but when their arrangement turns dangerously real, Dolly will have to decide if she’s ready to rely on someone other than herself.
Elsie Silver, the queen of cowboy romances! Professional bull rider Emmett Bush only agrees to join a reality TV dating show, Romance Ranch, for the money. He needs to save his family’s farm from bankruptcy. But then Julia Silva walks onto the property, and he’s not so sure if he can put on the performance he needs to.
If you’re looking for a romance novel that will make you smile and swoon—against a non-traditional backdrop—try this one out!
The cruise ship setting makes this one a perfect summer read! JoJo Burton has had lifelong bad luck with relationships, but she’s determined that her sister’s cruise ship destination wedding will be the end of it all. She diagnoses herself with a fixation on the neighborhood guy who was her first crush (and first kiss). Roping in her childhood bestie, Cooper Watts, for help, she’s determined to woo him. But things never go as planned, and soon, JoJo has to confront feelings she never saw coming.
As a booked and busy casting agent, Sasha knows types. She loves to find the perfect roles for the perfect people—unless, of course, that person will have a role in her own life. Relationships, she says, are just too much work. But when she meets a mysterious Italian man on a flight to Paris, all logical thought ‘flies’ out the window. After failing to exchange contact information, she embarks on a meticulous search to find the man from Seat F.
With its emphasis on travel, this is the perfect summer romance to read on vacation!
What I love most about Ashley Poston’s books is how she blends heartwarming romance with mystical, magical realism—and The Someday Garden is no exception. Sophie Drear needs a summer escape, so she heads off to Maine to a temporary job tending the grounds at the historical Lilymoor House. But when she finds a mysterious man trapped in the house’s gardens, her expectations for the summer change instantly.
Katie Caruso is a completely normal 25-year-old who also just happens to be the ghostwriter for a bestselling romance author. This summer, though, she’s faced with an unexpected writing partner: Tyler McNally, her childhood neighbor, who was also the best friend of her late brother. The two have a lot to work through, but first, they have a romance novel to write. Yet, as romance tropes from the page begin to play out in real life, they must decide if they’re ready to fight for their own happy ending.
For those who love a classic childhood friends-to-lovers romance, check this one out! Billie has built the perfect life—a thriving medical practice, a perfect boyfriend (and soon-to-be husband). But when a phone call from her high school sweetheart changes everything, suddenly she’s on a plane, returning to her hometown to face everything she’s left behind. Old friendships and relationships quickly knock the air out of her lungs, and now Billie must decide if her “perfect life” is really what she wants, after all.
