I think I really fell in love with cooking during fall.
I spent six years living in New York City in small apartments with dated heating/cooling systems. Cooking in the summer was essentially not an option unless I wanted my apartment to double as a sauna.
By the time fall rolled around, I was always so ready to dive headfirst back into the kitchen. Between roasting seasonal vegetables and the weather finally cooling off enough to enjoy our favorite comfort foods again, the autumn season is the perfect time to flex your chef muscles. And don’t even get me started on fall flavors. Pumpkin, squash, cinnamon, and so many more—the options are endless.
If you’re finding yourself as excited as I am for this new season, here are a few recipes to add to the queue to get you in the fall mood once again.
